City by the Sea – Manchester’s unique seaside experience – is back this half–term! For three weeks only, we’re transforming the home of Manchester City FC into a mobile fun park full of over 30 fabulous rides and attractions.
The football season might be over, but the fun is only just beginning! Come and see the giant 35–metre (over 100ft!) Ferris Wheel, or the Crazy Mouse spinning coaster – exact replicas of rides on Blackpool’s South and Central Piers.
New for 2008 we’ve got the Speed Buzz – 120ft of pure adrenaline! Even taller than the Ferris Wheel, this awesome propeller ride is only for the headstrong. Also touching down at Sportcity for the first time will be the Superbowl. And because we know not everyone wants it fast and furious, we’ve got a brand new “pink knuckle” kiddie coaster – the Wacky Worm.
The best thing about this year’s event is that you can ride the lot non–stop with unlimited riding wristbands available all day every day! Prices start at just £5.99 and there are up to two sessions per day.
Keeping the seaside theme alive, kids can check out Manchester’s very own beach, donkey rides plus Punch & Judy, while mum and dad take it easy inside our undercover food court.
City by the Sea 2 takes place at Sportcity, Manchester, from Friday 16th May until Sunday 1st June 2008. We’re open weekends and school holidays from 1-9pm and term time from 5-9pm. Entrance is by wristband only (please check wristband session times before travelling) and parking is free.
